There are definitely vegetarian options, but you can call in and ask, they answer their phones and are VERY friendly
Yes. They have a selection of wines.
I order out the spicy veggie combo on a fairly regular basis. It's always tasty. Sometimes certain components are better than other times, but tonight it's all PERFECT 😍 Thanks for dinner guys! Stay safe ^_^
Great food. You eat with your fingers. Got the meat combo platter and the veggie combo platter, really enjoyed
My favorite food! Scrumptious! Only takeout or delivery at this time, but quick and friendly.
We ordered one meat combination and one vegetable combo. The veggie dishes were great at a price of almost 15 dollars, but the meat, pricing almost 30.00 for 4 meat dishes, was dried up meat with an abundance of grease. I think it just opened for the day. Maybe they served us yesterday’s fare. The injera bread was delightful.
Really nice clean atmosphere. Feel fancier than it is. The food was really good. Lots of options for whatever your diet. This could be a good place to go for a group with varring dietary requirements. I got the veg sample platter. So much food. I couldn't eat it all.
Very good food. I have pretty much tried everything on the menu so far and everything is good here. Small and perfect menu. Get the vegetarian or meat combo depending on your diet. That's the best way to try everything.
A nice sit down place for dinner. This was my first time for Ethiopian food. We had the meat combo, not bad. The bread that was eaten with the entree had a sour taste. At first, we thought it was from the food entree, but the sourness came from the bread. Being my first time, I have no comparison to other Ethiopian food. You should try it out to experience the food.
Have been here a couple times and it has yet to disappoint. Always fun to take people who have never had Ethiopian cuisine. Definitely better to go with a couple people so you can get to try more items on the menu.
The food was amazing, and the house wines were good. The service was friendly and accomodating, but a bit inattentive... We waited quite a while before deciding to go up to pay the bill. Definitely worth it though, and I would return.
Delicious food served family style, all on one platter, on top of a bed of injera (sourdough flatbread). Thanks for a great meal!
The chicken and the beef were excellent. We ordered the meat combo which was more than enough for two. The imported Ethiopian beer was light and refreshing. The service was cordial and quick. Overall we enjoyed the ambiance and the food. Not having cutlery and eating with fingers was refreshing.
Warm cozy place and some legit Ethiopian food. The starters were the show stealers!
My inner was hard so I know it wasn't fresh waited outside because my wheelchair would not fit in the door for 30 mins then to get home and my order was wrong , I used to love this place hoping it was just an off night
Amazing food! Very tasty. I had a great experience eating with my hands. I wish there was some wet towels for cleaning the hands at the end of dinner, but not a big deal. Still love the place and I'm coming back. The staff was nice and friendly, and the place clean.
The food was not even close to what I expected it to be. This restaurant doesn't care about the quality of Ethiopian food they give because they are not facing any competition in the area it's located. Am never going back. I gave it two star because the waitress was sweet nice lady. Please go to other Ethiopian restaurants such as Anaat, Saba, chef cafe,.. etc
Great place! Loved the food! the only issue was not having rice on the menu!
Eh...that’s my thoughts on the food..eh...Wanted to support local and have been looking for a good Ethiopian nearby. Delivery was quick- 20 min after order placed. The meat servings are small. Purchased the meat combo and vegetable combo. Maybe 2 spoonfuls of each. Not much spice- and a bit salty. Overall not very good compared to others I have had. Back on the outlook for a good Ethiopian restaurant.
Delicious bread and family style food. A cozy and low-key atmosphere. Food with actual flavor, and lots of vegetarian options. So glad we finally tried this Capitol Hill institution.
The food was amazing! It was such a cool experience to eat from one plate (we shared this between three of us) and without utensils. Price was really good, and the atmosphere of the old house just adds to the experience. Everybody should try it!! Oh and the guava juice was delicious too!
Great Vegan food. Enjoyable Atmosphere.
Pretty good Veggie platter. Service is standard. Not expensive. The lighting in this place is pretty dark. Could use a bit more light. This is the closest Ethiopian around the downtown area. Close to the new Cap Hill light link station.
Vegetarian Review: I loved the vegetarian meal. All the curries on the plate were really flavorful and distinct. My favorite was the green one. The only reason for deducting a point is not so good service. There was only one person catering to the entire restaurant and she wasn’t looking at all the tables especially once they were served with their food.
The food is SO unbelievably delicious. Every time. The servers are always great too! And it's lovely ambiance.
Pretty decent but inconsistent. I've been here before on a weekend and the food was great but on this visit it was only okay, kinda bland and over salted. Nice staff, quiet place, good pricing. Next time I go I'll try to make sure it's a weekend when the busier atmosphere probably brings out their best efforts
BLACK OWNED BUSINESS💕SO YUMMY! I got the vegan combo platter and devoured it. Lots of unique and comforting flavors. I ate a lot and I still have leftovers.🤗
If you like Ethiopian food, definitely go to Zobel!! The food is much much better there than at Sheba! Also, the server is extremely rude. We ordered Chicken Doro Wot and got only a tiny piece of chicken and a hard boiled egg for $13. However, the ambiance is nice.
I have had pretty much everything on the menu now. Food is great..authentic Ethiopian. Every dish comes with a bit of the yellow lentils that help break the spice. The servers and host are nice and polite. The food is definitely spicy and well priced. Injera is a bit on the sour side often but soft and moist. I return to this place often. Good visit
Incredible! Gone here several times and have always loved it, friendly, orders ready in a reasonable time, taste amazing
Reasonably busy for a Saturday night but we had a very little wait to be seated. Meal was delicious(vegetarian, pork, chicken and beef). Service was good too.
The food is amazing, no doubt at that. Their meat combo throws you off guard. I had a very poor customer experience. The staff had fights with Uber delivery people because they were poor in organizing the many orders they get. I had to wait an hour to get my food. Service and Experience: -5/5Food: +8/5But I doubt if I’ll come back just because they treat their customers poorly.
There food was good and the service okay but wow, it was freezing when we went recently. All of the guests, myself included, were wearing winter jackets throughout dinner and I was still cold. I hope they can work on fixing the drafts and insulation or something so guests can fully appreciate the food.
The food is amazing. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to eat Ethiopian food. The place is very nice and comfy. The service is little slow because of which I was disappointed.
Authentic food, very reasonable price. But they could surely improve the interiors and add some more lights. Also the restrooms were not kept clean...
The best place for consistently great Ethiopian food in Seattle! Friendly staff, quick ticket times, good beer selection, and easily accessible by public transportation! The veggie combo is unbeatable and filling, and you'll want more the next day. If you are looking for a place to impress your friends, you've found it.
The food is incredible and the service is very attentive. Highly recommend
Great food. The combos can easily be split between 2 people
Amazing food. Service could be improved.
We reserved a table at 8:45 and waited till 9:10 to get seated. They could not arrange any seating for us. They should have not given the reservation. Very poor service.
I can’t comment on the food or service because we didn’t make it that far. We sat down to look at the menus. The waitress asked if we’d like water and walked away to get it. I turned around and saw a roach on the table behind us. Broad daylight and just walking around like it was home. I know that if the roach was brave enough to be out in the daytime, then there are bugs in the back kitchen area doing the same. No thanks. My friend walked over to let her know that we wouldn’t be needing the water and we left. Just be careful and inspect your food if you decide to go anyways. Good luck.
Deliscious food and Ethiopian beer. Good service, friendly staff.
Good food. Slower than average service times. I love their sour bread.
The food is so delicious and I love the ambience which contributes to a true cultural experience. Between two people, we ordered the veggie sampler + one of the lamb entrees. They were out of beer and I didn’t feel like wine so I stuck with water. Our bill came to just under $40 including tip and we had leftovers. So far, this is my favorite Ethiopian cuisine in the city.
Super delicious Ethiopian food! I had never had Ethiopian food before, and this was great. I got a veggie combo to share with a friend (also vegan!). When we got it, at first it looked like there wasn't going to be enough food, but we got full really fast! It ended up being the perfect amount of food for 2 people. I was a huge fan of the sauteed greens in the middle in the picture -- the spices were perfect. I'll definitely be coming back; everything in the picture ended up being around $14!
Food is great!
Food quality was good. BUT the service is really very slow
This is some of the best Ethiopian food I have ever had! The injera had a beautiful tasty sour to it, and the dishes were perfectly seasoned and textured without being too heavy or oily. There are several delicious vegan options, prices are very reasonable, and it is perfect for sharing. The staff was very friendly. If I lived locally this would be a regular stop for me.
The beef tibs and veggie sides were delicious and great portion for two. Environment is clean and welcoming. Service was quick and prices are reasonable. Overall, had a great experience at Queen of Sheba.
Very good food. Cheap for what it is too. They have beer, wine, and a few cocktails. Service was quick.
Delicious food. Large portions at a reasonable price.
Tried Non Veg Combo. It with non vegetarian curries of choice with Injera . Food is tasty but we went to restaurant around closing time so everyone’s in a hurry to wind up.
